Whitney is an AFPA certified nutrition and wellness consultant and is a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS-C) candidate. She holds a Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut and is an active member of the Institute for Functional Medicine. Whitney completed a 1000 hour clinical residency in Functional Nutrition at the internationally renowned Sandy Hook Clinic in Newtown, Connecticut under the supervised mentorship of functional medicine expert and celebrated book and research study author, Dr. Kara Fitzgerald, ND, IFMCP. Whitney also studied under Dr. Richard Lord, coauthor of Laboratory Evaluations for Integrative & Functional Medicine and constantly seeks additional education to stay current on nutritional medicine topics. Whitney’s expertise focuses on gastrointestinal, autoimmune and neurodegenerative diseases such as celiac disease, Crohn’s disease, colitis, IBS, gastric reflux, SIBO, lupus, arthritis, autoimmune thyroiditis, skin disorders, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease and chronic fatigue syndrome. Whitney utilizes a personalized, non- judgmental approach to educating clients on food and nutrition, working with each person to achieve their health and wellness goals. Whitney loves being outdoors and is inspired by the infinite wisdom of Mother Nature. She lives on a wooded property in Pennsylvania with her family, two dogs, and twelve chickens.
Jesse Hershey is a Functional Movement Specialist, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Titleist Performance Instructor, and Certified Personal Trainer. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University and is an FMS Level II: Functional Movement Specialist, a NSCA-CSCS: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, an ACE-CPT: Certified Personal Trainer and holds certificates in TPI Level I from the Titleist Performance Institute.
Jesse has a combined 13 years of coaching and personal training experience. His clientele include Olympic trial athletes, and recreational athletes. He works with people ages 6-80. He has helped people recover from injuries, lower their body fat percentage, increase muscle mass, and focuses on injury prevention.
Jesse Hershey has had multiple surgeries in his life, many of which were sports related. He is passionate about helping people exercise in a way that promotes the best health possible. He understands the process of re-educating the mind and body to overcome barriers, as he has taken himself from barely being able to walk to participating in sports and different activities, despite his own physical disabilities.
Jesse loves snowboarding, riding ATV’s, golfing, and being outdoors. He always says passion takes us out of our comfort zone, and continues to strive past his own comfort zone so that he can help others.

Here is a list of some of the diseases that can be treated through functional medicine: Hormone imbalances including infertility, digestive disorders, autoimmune diseases, obesity, mood disorders, migraines, insomnia, diabetes, allergies, adrenal fatigue, tick borne infections, SIBO, fatigue, pain, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol.
Insurance does not cover holistic wellness services. But you can check your FSA/HSA coverage for your labs and supplements. I can prepare a detailed bill for you to submit into your insurance, if you would like.
Everyone can benefit from functional medicine! If you want to understand your body better and improve your health, you can't go wrong with any one of the packages. The more intense packages will better benefit clients with autoimmune disease, infertility, chronic Lyme disease, or those seeking weight management and improved gut health.
