Functional Medicine for Real Life. Real Healing. All Ages.

I provide functional medicine care for children, adults, and families across Kansas, Oklahoma, Oregon, Florida, and Pennsylvania, helping patients uncover and address the root causes of chronic symptoms—not just manage them. While I treat a wide range of conditions, I specialize in hormones and fertility, supporting women and couples who want to optimize their health, prepare for pregnancy, and give their future children the healthiest possible start.

I am a Family Nurse Practitioner & Certified Nurse Midwife, and I’ve had the privilege of walking women through the entire journey—from infertility and hormone imbalance to healthy pregnancy, birth, and baby. This unique perspective allows me to bridge functional medicine with real-world reproductive and perinatal care in a way few providers can.

My passion for this work is deeply personal. I once lived with chronic daily migraines and was nearing the point of disability when I found functional medicine. Through accurate diagnosis and treatment for Lyme disease, strategic dietary changes, and healing long-standing gut imbalances, my health completely transformed. I didn’t just feel better—I felt better than I ever had before, even as a teenager.

After addressing my own hormonal imbalances, I felt called to help women and couples avoid years of confusion, dismissal, and unnecessary suffering. I believe that optimal fertility, pregnancy, and lifelong health begin with understanding the body as an interconnected system—and treating it that way.

If you’re tired of symptoms being minimized or managed instead of truly understood, you’re in the right place. Together, we’ll create a personalized, evidence-based plan designed to restore balance, resilience, and long-term health—tailored to your life.

A Thoughtful, Root-Cause Approach to Healing

Elizabeth Amos FNP, CNM, MSN, BSN, RN, IFMCP :

My own healing journey required addressing multiple layers of dysfunction—eliminating gluten and dairy due to intolerances, healing gut imbalances, and reducing chronically elevated cortisol through sustainable lifestyle changes. That experience shaped how I practice today.

I believe the most effective care comes from a balanced integration of functional and conventional medicine. Rather than chasing symptoms, I focus on understanding why they exist—using comprehensive testing, clinical insight, and individualized plans to restore balance at the root.

I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all protocols. I believe in partnership. My role is to listen, educate, and guide—so you feel empowered, supported, and confident in your health decisions as we work toward your long-term goals together.

What Are Clients Saying ?

I have loved every step of being cared for by our midwife, Elizabeth Amos NP LLC If you are looking to experience something different than what the medical world has to offer and you are local in SE Kansas, please go see Elizabeth! She has her own private practice and does more than midwifery! If you are wanting a second opinion for your needs she offers functional medicine, too!

I was so excited when Elizabeth moved to Parsons and I learned about her practice. I immediately booked an appointment with her. She went over my medical history in such great detail at my first appointment. She really listened to me and actually ‘heard’ me. She works to find the root cause of an issue instead of just putting a bandaid over it. Highly recommend making an appointment with her.

Jyssica

She is the only one that took the time to help me fix my problems, not just give me another pill. I am very lucky to have found her. My life improved a lot and I felt more confident about my health.

Fulga

Elizabeth helped me completely turn my gut and hormone health around in 2025 and we are now expecting our first little one to arrive in March of 2026! Her recommendations and interventions were a key component in helping me to get pregnant, and I credit the ease of the pregnancy to the prep work that was done in my health beforehand. So thankful to have found her!

I was diagnosed with lupus more than a decade ago and I've been on hydroxychloroquine for years. After a year of hard work with Elizabeth, I am feeling better than I have in years. Even my rheumatologist is surprised. I am weaning off the medications!

For years I have had stomach problems and been unable to digest many things. I had been to countless medical doctors, naturopaths, and dietitians.  I knew I needed to “fix my gut” but the only thing the experts were telling me was to take probiotics. I knew that was not working and I needed to find someone who could look at my labs and read them with a new understanding based on me and my specific health to figure out how to balance my microbiome. Thank goodness I found Elizabeth Amos  because she has changed my life. I am now able to eat so many things that I have not been able to eat for over thirty years! I now feel like I have a strong gut instead of a weak gut. It’s amazing. There are very few medical professionals who are on the cutting edge of the microbiome and can read labs like a detective as well as can be open and understanding of a person’s desire to eat a certain way or to only want to treat naturally. Thank you, Elizabeth!
